The Blackpool RTC provides free professional learning opportunities for teachers and schools in the local community. Through hands-on workshops and events, teachers can develop new skills that support the effective use of iPad to enhance learning across the curriculum.

attend the Blackpool rtc launch event you will:

  • Learn more about the RTC and upcoming workshops, events  and seminars

  • Get hands-on in a variety of taster workshops designed to inspire creative ideas for using iPad effectively across the curriculum

  • Meet and share ideas with like-minded educators from the local community 

  • Discover the Apple Teacher programme and how attending RTC sessions can help you gain your Apple Teacher badges

    Which Hands-on workshops are right for you?

    Attend the launch event and you will get to choose to attend up to 3 of the following 30-minute workshops

    • Everyone Can Code - explore how coding skills can be inspired and developed through the use of Swift Playgrounds

    • Everyone Can Create with Photos -   get creative with capturing and editing photos and explore how photography can enhance learning

    • Everyone Can Create with Video - discover the power of video in enhancing learning across the curriculum

    • Everyone Can Create with Music - explore how GarageBand can be used to empower pupils to create their own music and sounds, which can enhance learning across various topics

    • Computing and Science with LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 - learn how the power of play with LEGO Education can enhance the learning of computing and science

    • Coding & STEM with LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV3 - explore how LEGO Education can inspire the 21st-century skills whilst learning the foundations of Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths. 

    You will be contacted after registration and given the opportunity to apply for your preferred workshops. You will be able to choose up to a maximum of 3 workshops. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.  If we are unable to allocate you a space in one or more of your preferred workshops, you will be provided with a space in another one of the workshops taking place at the event.
